Inflation

A friend of mine pointed this out to me. He'd read this in some magazine. Presented for your perusal are Maggi noodles packets - one from December 2007 and one from March 2008. Just don't ask me why I have a packet from 6 months ago lying around :D

Wow! It's amazing how these companies subtly manage to increase their profits. I'm certain most of us would have noticed if the prices went up, but very few of us would actually notice the trivial decrease in quantity. Inflation creeps into our life whether we notice it or not.

Too true!

And to do such a thing with the staple diet of students and the working youth is nothing short of criminal! :D

This has been happening with various products for quite some time now. Lays Potato Chips & Uncle Chips have reduced to a 90 gms from a 120 gms, ( for your information) & you will see similar decrease in weights in teas , coffee & soaps & sauces too!

No wonder I eat 3 of these instead of 2 now :D...(I'm not fat, I'm festively plump)

Was having Maggi, and the packet felt a little light. Remembered this post and came to check out how much the old Maggi weighed. We are another 10gms lighter now. Still costs the same though
